SACRAMENTO - Power was knocked out in downtown Sacramento Land Park and Citrus Heights Wednesday morning.

According to Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), 385 residents lost power in downtown and Land Park at 3:06 a.m. after an avacado tree toppled over onto a power line.

A second, and smaller outage was reported in Citrus Heights where nine people lost power around 4:30 a.m. 

SMUD originally expected to have power restored to Land Park and downtown Sacramento by 7 a.m., but were unable to do so until after 9 a.m.

Power was restored to the Citrus Heights area by 8 a.m.
