The County Department of Transportation reports in the region there are 5200 miles of paved roads, many of which are in dire need of repair. They are employing citizen interaction in an attempt to discover where some of those problem spots are located.

You can call (916) 875-5171 to report potholes and damaged roadways in the county.

News10 is also interested in hearing about concerns in other areas. Tweet @MelissaCrowley with your trouble spots, and please include a picture if you can.

We've already heard from one viewer who says in Cameron Park  Knollwood has pothole issues.

Renae emails "Several potholes southbound fair oaks at Madison in fair oaks - thank you for sharing - these have been getting worse for awhile and the tires on my car are $400 each!!"

Another viewer shares via email "Melissa,  Just noticed this Sunday night down the street from my house.  It was a depression in the road that opened into a hole.  I was able to stick my arm into it.  My wife is going to take a picture of it this afternoon and I will send it on to you.  It is located on 2nd street in Rio Linda between Linn Way and Monticello Ave on the West side of the street about 3 feet from the West sidewalk.  Another viewer emailed us about I-5 near Pershing and several spots along I-5 in Stockton.

We encourage you to keep those emails coming! MCrowley@news10.net
