Man killed in North Sacramento neighborhood
SACRAMENTO, CA - A man was shot and killed in a North Sacramento apartment complex Friday night.
Sacramento police responded to the 600 block of Plaza Avenue around 7:53 p.m. after getting reports of a shooting, Officer Doug Morse said. The witness reported hearing multiple gunshots.
At the scene, police found a man in his 20s injured in the courtyard of the apartment complex. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Morse said just after 8 p.m., the fire department pronounced the man dead at the scene.
It is unclear what led to the shooting and motive behind the shooting is unknown.
Morse said there was no arrest and no suspect description. Police continue to investigate the shooting.
