SACRAMENTO, CA - The last family member who pleaded guilty to sex trafficking charges was sentenced to prison Thursday.
Cherelle Elizabeth Hornbuckle, 26, pleaded guilty to running an underage sex trafficking ring. Hornbuckle with her three sisters and mother operated the ring, said Lauren Horwood, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of California.
According to court documents, Hornbuckle and her family found clients for the girls, and then drove the girls to a location to meet the clients; afterwards, they would pick up the girls from the location. Horwood said locations included motels or the homes on one of the Hornbuckle family members.
Cherelle Hornbuckle was sentenced to seven and a half years.
