Sacramento cab driver robbed at knifepoint | Crime

SACRAMENTO - A Sacramento cab driver was robbed at knifepoint by two passengers Sunday night.

Sacramento police officer Michelle Gigante said the cabbie was on his way to pick up a passenger on El Camino Ave. at approximately 10:26 p.m. when he was hailed by two men. The men instructed him to take them to Brewerton Dr. and Stone Creek Dr. where they robbed him at knifepoint and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

One of the men was described as a black man in his mid 20s, 5'8" tall, weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.

The other individual was described as a black man in his mid 20s, 5'7" tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue or black hooded sweatshirt.

The cab driver sustained a minor injury during the robbery.
