SACRAMENTO, CA - A man who pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit photos of himself to a minor was sentenced Wednesday.

Eric Montane-Darab was sentenced to one month in jail, 14 months of house arrest, three years of probation with drug and alcohol counseling, plus mental health treatment, and will be required to register as a sex offender, said Lauren Horwood, spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of California.

In January, Montane-Darab admitted that he sent two obscene photos of himself as well as sexually explicit text messages to a 13-year-old Florida girl in 2010.

According to court documents, Montane-Darab had sexually explicit photos of another victim on his phone. Horwood said he also sent the victim explicit pictures and videos of himself to the victim.

Montane-Darab was investigated by the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force under the auspices of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
