Arson suspected in Sacramento railyards fire | Crime

SACRAMENTO -  Sacramento City fire investigators are trying to figure out who has been setting multiple fires in the old railyards area.

Around midnight Wednesday, crews responded to a two-acre grass fire near North 7th and B streets.  Firefighters had difficulty gaining access to the fire, but were able to put it out before it could spread.

Battalion Chief Marc Bentovoja says this is the sixth time in recent history that fire crews have been called out to battle fires set at the old railyards, and the fourth time multiple fires have been reported on the same night.

In addition to the fire at 7th and B, another fire was extinguished at 12th and C.
