ACM Conference in Sacramento Welcomes Western Region Guests | Community

Community Media Convergence – Merging Local Voices and Digital Technology

More than 120 attendees and WAVE finalists were welcomed to the California’s State Capital at the 15-story Downtown Holiday Inn Capitol Plaza. The ACM West conference invited Community Media professionals and advocates from the Western Region – Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada and New Mexico and from the Northwest Region – Oregon, Washington, Idaho plus other states throughout the West. Twenty different workshops offered ideas, and solutions to the challenges of operating and producing Public, Educational and Government (PEG) Access Television representing 50 communities. The event started Thursday evening with a “Meet and Greet” on the Delta King “Paddlewheel Room” on the hotel anchored at the wharf in Old Sacramento. Access Sacramento Board members welcomed their counterparts to appetizers aboard the historic old riverboat.
