Join us to recognize the Guys & Dolls of Sacramento's Association for Wedding Professinals, Int'l.  These are the members who worked hard in 2012 to make the wedding industry and the association a "sweet" success! Members who are known as the best.

Tuesday, May 7, 2013. 6:30-9:00 p.m., Depot Park Conference Center located at 8215 Ferguson Ave. in Depot Park.

We'll be puttin on the Ritz, so dig out your 1920s glad rags to keep up. You won't get the bum's rush if you don't, but it's always fun to dress up! And Sharpe Weddings will be there to snap your mug and give you the photo to take home!

There are a couple more surprises!  You’ve Never seen dessert servce in Sacramento presented this way.  Plus, we’re changing something we haven’t changed in more than 10 years – and revealing it at the Gala!

Join John Carvana, Drexel University Sacramento's Manager of Career Services, in an hour-long interactive session that will help you identify the best career pathway in business to suit your personal interests and talents.

The workshop is free and open to the public and Drexel students, alumni and faculty.

$125,000 contest looking for retail business dreamers

Will you be Downtown Sacramento’s next success story?

Calling all passion-filled go getters with big ideas, people who are sparked by opportunity and possibility, we want you to join us Downtown.

Applicants interested in starting a new retail business in Downtown Sacramento can submit their business concept for consideration. The winner will receive an awards package worth approximately $125,000 which includes rent-free up to one year in a Downtown location, startup capital, and business support services.

The application process will run until May 24th and is open to entrepreneurs with a retail oriented business idea, current retailers who want to open a new concept, and those who want to expand or relocate from outside of Sacramento.

Community 1st Bank Welcomes Lapkass as New Senior Vice President

Community 1st Bank has named Ulrike Lapkass, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the banking industry, as a new Senior Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager for the bank.

An Auburn resident, Lapkass joins the Community 1st team to bolster the bank’s commercial lending services. She will work with business owners and investors throughout Northern California, primarily focusing on their financing needs.

“Our economy has made some positive strides in the past year, so this is a great time for any business owner to be looking for financing,” Lapkass said. “I am excited to join the dynamic team at Community 1st Bank.”

Lapkass began her banking career with Wells Fargo, where she was a Premier Client Manager for many years.
