History Museum Offers Free Admission to Military Personnel and Their Families This Summer

The Sacramento History Museum is proud to participate in Blue Star Museums, a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 1,800 museums across America, to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2013.  

“We are proud to once again participate in the worthwhile Blue Star Museums program this summer,” said Historic Old Sacramento Foundation Deputy Director Kristina Swanson.

Local Filipino School - Eskwela Natin Grand Opening

SACRAMENTO, CA – Eskwela Nation, a Filipino School will have their grand opening this Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Community Room in the Sacramento County Human Resources Building. Come learn more about the school and support our Filipino-American youth!

Philippine Consul General Marciano A. Paynor, Jr.  will be also attending the grand opening of Eskwela Natin, our Filipino School, the first Filipino American Cultural School in Northern California and located in Sacramento.

He will be cutting the ribbon to officially open the school following a short program of greetings, proclamations, patriotic songs and brief remarks by the Consul General and local officials. He will be accompanied by Consul Reichel Quinones.
